'Brook'
DOB 07.26.2006
CH Cayuga's Lucky Charm CD JH AX AXJ WCX, VCX ex Brook is a granddaughter to our Gordy x Sable breeding, many thanks to Danika of Aqueus Tollers. Bred by Danika and Michael Bannasch; sire owned by Dominique Jolley. A true delight to train in the field. She shows intense, quiet focus and style combined with a sweet sensitive playful nature, and has more water moxie than any toller we’ve had! Naturally carried birds and naturally delivered to hand. Easily passed UKC Started title, AKC Junior Hunter title, and NSDTRC-USA Working Certificate all within one year. Brook possesses a rare “Quiet Toller” working nature bestowed by her grandmother Sable and Great Grandmother Chase. Quiet, calm and watchful at the line and in the blind. No whining or jumping around. At home she’s a complete love, wanting affection, and follows me everywhere. Is drawn to and extremely gentle and affectionate toward children. Brook loves to participate in training and is attentive and quick to learn. We are working on "Senior Hunter" work for 2011 ! Brook's PhotosBack to Top

DOB 02.23.2003 Bridger is the male we kept from our Gordy x Sable litter. He’s our chief newspaper fetcher, cuddle dog, and Dave’s best hunting and fishing buddy. Bridger has all his sire’s and dam’s enthusiasm, speed, persistence & endurance in the uplands, and brings a treasured quality to his presence in the duck blind: the Watchful SILENCE for which we thank his dam Sable and granddam Chase. Bridger’s nature is entirely soft and gentle. He’s captured our love and admiration with his expressive eyes, loyalty and love of affection, and especially his natural and “learned through experience” abilities in the hunt. Bridger had big paws to fill in becoming Dave’s primary hunting dog when his sire, Gordy, passed from this life. Fill them he did, and maturing he takes on more and more of his sire’s endearing silly and stubborn ways. Bridger helps us laugh. Bridger's PhotosBack to Top
Bridger's PedigreeBack to Top 'Sable'
DOB 11.01.1998 Sable came to us from Sue Kish’s wonderful Foxgrove Kennels. She arrived at 9 weeks with a built-in recall and bringing pigeons to hand. At the retrieving line, in the holding blind or duck blind, she’s naturally a composed, QUIET toller. We raised one litter of puppies from Sable; sired by our Gordy. Six of the eight puppies are involved in hunting, fieldwork, or both. This funny, silly girl from day one to the present, parades with toys whenever we arrive after being away, or the leashes are brought out, and other celebratory moments. Sable is retired from formal training and events. At age 11, she's still a skilled, hard hunting girl for upland birds. She runs marks and bumper drills, plays chuckit, hunts for small critters, and strives to perfect her already perfect counter-surfing. Sable's PhotosBack to Top
Sable's Pedigree 'Gordy' In Memory Of
DOB 09.21.1992 - 06.26.2006 Gordy was our second Toller. We thank dear, late Evelyn Williams of Lonetree Kennels for this pretty pup who became something of a legend in our lives. Everything he did, he did with Maximum Enthusiasm, accompanied by a voice of Maximum Decibels! Though entirely sweet and gentle with all people and dogs, it was a challenge to rein in his bird and retrieve desire around hunt tests and such. He was the first dog I trained for field events; and Gordy usually ran the show. With many episodes of breaking; and judges’ eyebrows raised to maximum height (because of those maximum decibels), Gordy and I managed to finish the UKC Hunting Retriever title, my first. And once, Gordy and Dave won a first place in an upland hunt challenge the retriever club put on as a fundraiser. But mostly Gordy lived to hunt with his master and friend, Dave. He was proficient retrieving wounded geese as well as ducks; and flushing pheasant, chukar and quail. At age 13, Gordy was still in glorious condition, and won Best Veteran and a JAM at the 2005 National Specialty of the US Toller club. It was a huge thrill to show our beautiful old dog and be recognized. Gordy sired twelve litters including one here with our Sable. Included among his offspring are Three National Specialty BOB winners, two National Specialty Best of Opposite sex, Two BOB winners at the Eukanuba Invitational, a BOB winner at Westminster Kennel Club dog show, a few sporting group placers, and several field titled dogs. We’ve been honored to participate in this way with fine breeders and owners who are our friends. Gordy is recorded a Register of Merit Sire in NSDTRC-USA. This was a once-in-a-lifetime dog. We were blessed with 13 full, fun, and eventful years. Gordy's PhotosBack to Top
